I love helping you make your charts and reports clearer and more convincing — whether you’re sharpening an existing report or building a new one together with me, starting from a blank page. My approach builds on the work of Stephen Few (Show Me The Numbers), Alberto Cairo (The Functional Art), and Dona M. Wong (Guide To Information Graphics).
I prefer to do that together with you and your team. In presentations and workshops I give you concrete tools to improve your own reports, including my 9.5 tips you can start using right away.
Outside of work I like to grab my camera to capture the beautiful light in the landscape, preferably around sunrise or sunset. I’m also partial to a good espresso. Feel like talking about data, visualization, photography, or just a nice cup of coffee? I’d love to hear from you.
My data visualization journey began at KLM, surrounded by thick stacks of dot-matrix printouts. Columns of numbers nobody could make sense of — and yet decisions were made on them.
